Where have I been?

Well I took a break…been not writing here but over at the other blog. Trying to decide what I should do with this domain. Any ideas? I might post here more or this might be my last post…doubt it.

Arsenal to the semi-finals!

Filed under: Arsenal, Sports — Steve @ 9:59 pm

What a game! Arsenal did exactly what they needed to do in shutting down Juve. I watched the game at Trinity Hall with about 5 Arsenal supporters and 4 Juve supporters…and a half-dozen Celtic fans in the back watching them win the league.
defense

It was pretty clear Juve was going to have to come out with a creative attack but they could not get anything going thanks to the back four. The defense was great. Allowed only 2-3 good chances the whole game.

Jens

Jens was on his game for sure. Mad Jens!
win

End result was 0-0 but that was all that was needed and we are off to face Villarreal in the semis!

2-0 lead going to Turin

Filed under: Life — Steve @ 7:48 am

What a game it was! Arsenal dominated the game and came out 2-0 to the good. It could have been 4-0 that how well they played.

Cesc shot

The scoring started off with Cesc taking the 1-0 lead.

Cecs goal

Henry made it 2-0 with Cesc returning the favor. Great game. The tackle on Vieria by Pries was brilliant! Oh and Vieria will miss the return with his yellow. All and all what you want going into 2nd leg away.

Vieria

This is by no means a sure thing next week in Turin. Juve have scored 3+ in 10 games this season so don’t count them out. Going to be a great game to watch, make plans now to catch it.

Great game today, 4-0 a classic Arsenal preformace at Craven Cottage. Hopefully today’s result inspires the team for Wednesday and the rest of the season.

AGGGGGG

So frustrating…that what this season has been. 3 points dropped to Blackburn…another road loss. It’s looking more and more like finishing in the top 4 is going to be challenge. That is all that lefft to shoot for the Prem now. Of course finishing 5th, winning the Champions League, Tottenham finishing 4th and having them bumped out of the CL next year becuase we won may be an acceptible alternative. But I don’t want to finish below Spurs. AGGGGGG…frustrating.

US 4 - 0 Guatemala

Filed under: Sports — Steve @ 9:44 pm

Went to check out the US take on Guatemala today. It was super cold, sub-freezing all game and it was 85 just 2 days ago. On the way the game the radio kept saying stay home, don’t go anywhere, lot of wrecks and roads closed…we still went, but not everyone did. Only about 14.5k or the 22k or so showed up. The new kits are nice, will be ordering one soon.
